Currently operating from over 10 locations in the Peoria area and servicing children from throughout the state of Illinois, Children’s Home Association of Illinois’ 400+ employees provide support services to all at-risk youth. Services offered begin in utero with pregnancy support resources to at-risk mothers and extend to the age of 24 years old. The agency responds to all needs of youth in the community ranging from homelessness, behavioral health services, residential care, and placement services.
Children’s Home Association of Illinois raised more money this year at its annual fundraiser than any other year in the history of the event. And it was immediately after screening a story we were invited to produce about a young man who receives their services.

“This video was played right before the auctioneer kicked off the paddle raise portion of the event – as our final ask for monetary donations. It was a beautiful representation of our mission and made a compelling ask for people to contribute to support our work. People were moved to tears, pledged money, the event raised more than ever before, and our remarkable client was the center of it all. A true win for all of us.”
— Camille Simpson, Chief of External Affairs, Children’s Home Association of Illinois
The two and a half minute video serves as proof of the power of video storytelling to connect people emotionally to the mission of an organization.
“While we all know the story of the client featured, seeing him on camera – able to speak about his experience at Children’s Home, made us all so, so proud. When our team watched the video at the event, we were all moved to tears.
When we were researching potential film crews to work with, we were looking for a crew that would highlight the vulnerability of the human experience, because of the nature of the work we do at Children’s Home Association of Illinois.
So, when we came across The Storyteller Studios, I knew they were the perfect fit for our agency’s vision and point of view.
We have worked with The Storyteller Studios for several projects – but our fundraising video was the most remarkable.”
— Camille Simpson
The association plans to use the video for on-going promotional purposes as well.
“We will use portions of the video to tell our story and the incredible story of someone who received services from us and is thriving in his life.
I cannot recommend The Storyteller Studios highly enough. Not only is the team knowledgeable and professional, but they are also a true delight to work with. They are creative, and thoughtful, and we cannot wait to work with them again.”

“We celebrate the entire staff at Children’s Home Association of Illinois for the challenging and critically important work they do and we’re proud to have been invited to help them tell their story in this way. We love seeing results like this because it shows we are accomplishing our own mission. The power of great video storytelling is incredible! Camille and her team invested $3,065 in production of Bradley’s story and the video helped raise $1.2 million! How’s that for a return on investment?”
